QuickReads – Transform the way you read ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). QuickReads offers short, in‑house written book summaries and key takeaways that can be read in under five minutes.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.

However, we may collect the following non-personal information:

• Usage data (e.g., how many summaries are read, time spent reading)
• Device information (e.g., device type and operating system)
• Crash logs and diagnostics (to improve performance)

This information is collected through Apple’s built-in analytics (if enabled) or App Store Connect.

2. How We Use Information

• Improve app performance and user experience
• Monitor usage trends and fix bugs
• Provide relevant updates and new content

We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or third parties.

3. No Login or Account Creation

The app does not require any sign-up or login. Saved Books and related preferences are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Saved Books may securely sync within your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit and may be backed up to your iCloud Drive. We do not have access to or visibility into your personal iCloud data.

4. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, we do not retain any user-identifiable information on our own servers. Any locally stored data remains on your device until the app is deleted. If iCloud sync or automatic backups are enabled, Saved Books may also be stored within your personal iCloud account. Automatic backups are retained as daily backups for up to 7 days and monthly backups for up to 3 months. Deleting the app does not automatically delete data stored in your iCloud account; such data can be managed directly within your iCloud settings.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services such as:

• Apple App Store (for app distribution and analytics)
• Apple iCloud (CloudKit and iCloud Drive for optional sync and backups)

These services may collect anonymised usage data in accordance with their privacy practices.

6. Subscriptions

QuickReads offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions giving access to premium book summaries and features, managed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. All billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled directly by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information. Subscription status validation and purchase restoration are performed securely through Apple’s App Store systems.

You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time in your device settings under Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. We may receive anonymised purchase or refund data from Apple for analytics or customer support purposes.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is designed for general audiences and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

By using the app, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app or in the App Store listing. Please review this policy periodically.
