Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GPS Map Camera handles information while you capture and save GPS-stamped photos.

Information We Collect

GPS Map Camera does not require an account, sign-in, or personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number.

The app uses the following information on your device to provide its features:

Photos you capture with the app’s camera
Your current location while the camera is open, including coordinates and, when available, an address and map
The date and time of a capture
Your selected app settings, such as photo quality and capture timer

The app does not include analytics or advertising SDKs and does not send your photos, location, or app usage information to Moon Mermaids Media’s servers.

How Information Is Used

The camera, location, date, time, address and map information are used on your device to create the stamp on photos you capture. Location is used only while the camera is open. If an address or map cannot be retrieved, you can still capture a photo with the available information.

App Analytics

We collect an anonymous installation ID, app version, device model, iOS version, language, time zone, connection type, and app activity such as onboarding completion and whether a photo was captured or saved. Our server also receives your IP address with analytics requests. We use this information to understand app usage and diagnose problems. Photos, coordinates, addresses, and map images are not sent with analytics events.

Photos and Storage

GPS Map Camera keeps an app copy of each photo you capture. With your permission, it also saves the finished GPS-stamped photo to your Apple Photos library.

The app requests add-only Photos access. It can add your new stamped photos to Photos, but does not need access to read your existing photo library. Deleting an app copy does not delete its separate copy in Photos.

Apple Services

The app uses Apple’s location and MapKit services to obtain location information and, when available, an address and map. Apple may process information under its own privacy policy and device settings. The App Store and Photos library are also operated by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your photos, location, or personal information with advertisers. We do not receive your photos or location on our servers. A photo you save or share is handled according to the destination and sharing options you choose.

Your Choices

You can manage Camera, Location, and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. You can remove app copies using the app’s gallery and remove Photos copies in the Photos app. Deleting the app removes its local app storage, subject to any device backups you control.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app improvements, legal requirements, or operational changes. We will update the effective date on this page when we do.
